Thetis is the ocean goddess in ancient Greek mythology, the wife of Peleus and the mother of Achilles. Thetis is a nymph fairy but married a mortal and gave birth to Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War.

TapTechNews reported on May 4th that the source RolandQuandt believes that Samsung plans to adopt its self-developed GPU core in its own Exynos flagship chip to be launched in 2026.

The model of the Samsung Exynos2400 chip is S5E9945, and the model of the successor chip (should be Exynos2500) to be launched next year is S5E9955. Both of the above flagship chips are equipped with the Xclipse GPU created in cooperation with AMD.

Samsung and Apple are currently competing in the 2nm chip field. Samsung's advantage is that it has its own foundry and can commercialize 2nm chips more closely.

Apple is also actively laying out 2nm chips. Apple's chief operating officer Jeff Williams visited TSMC on May 20th. The latest news is that the two sides held a'secret meeting' and Apple will take up all the initial 2nm process capacity of TSMC.
