The innate skill exists from the beginning to the end of the entire game. Each hero has a unique innate skill
Each hero's innate skill can be viewed on the hero page or by hovering the mouse over the new icon between the hero's talent tree and skills in the game
There are two types of innate skills: Some innate skills provide a unique effect for the hero. For example, Faceless Void will reduce the speed of enemy attack projectiles within range, and Dawnbreaker will reveal the whole map to allies when the sun rises; Some innate skills make a hero skill have five levels, and it comes with one level at level 1. Gemstones are the customized choice of the hero, making the hero's gameplay more in line with a specific lineup or the player's preference. Gemstones are unique to each hero: Each hero has at least two gemstones, and each choice can be made during the strategy time at the beginning of each game to choose their preferred gemstone
The hero gemstone can be viewed in the hero page below the hero name and label. It can also be viewed in the game by hovering the mouse over the new icon between the hero's talent tree and skills, on the scoreboard, and on the top bar when holding down the Alt key
After the decision time ends, all players' gemstones will be set, and they cannot be changed during the game until the game starts. The enemy team will only see the gemstone choice after the game starts
Gemstones can have various effects, such as: Viper can choose to increase the area damage burst of toxic attack, or increase the bonus of corroded skin in the Nether Venom; Wraith King can choose to summon skeleton soldiers, or deal additional curse damage when attacking; Leshrac can choose to restore mana on attack, or change the Demon's Edict so that it explodes faster but has no damage to buildings; Druid can choose to enhance the soul link so that both sides can enjoy the life steal effect, or the True Form can be cast on the bear spirit.
