XPeng Huitian Gets $150M Series B1 Financing for Flying Car Project

TapTechNews August 5th news, XPeng Huitian announced this morning that it has obtained a $150 million (TapTechNews note: currently about 1.076 billion yuan) Series B1 round of financing, and at the same time initiated the Series B2 round of financing. This round of financing will ensure the smooth realization of XPeng Huitian's flying car research and development, large-scale mass production and commercialization process.

XPeng Huitian is about to build the world's first flying car factory that uses modern assembly lines for large-scale mass production in Guangzhou Development District, and it will first be used to produce the flight body part of the split-type flying car Land Aircraft Carrier. At the same time, the pre-sale of the split-type flying car Land Aircraft Carrier is planned to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.

TapTechNews summarizes the main information of XPeng Huitian's Land Aircraft Carrier as follows:

This car is designed for the future three-dimensional transportation. In the land travel mode, the flight systems such as the rotor arms and rotors can be completely folded and stored in the car body; through the folding and deformation system, it can open the rotor arms and switch to the flight mode, and achieve vertical takeoff and landing in the environment where conditions permit.

This car also adopts technologies such as a foldable steering wheel, a transparent instrument panel, and a transparent chassis in the cockpit, and the intelligent cockpit can freely switch between the land travel mode and the flight mode.

The Land Aircraft Carrier is composed of the land travel body and the flight body. The land travel body can completely store the flight body in the car for ground movement and can be automatically separated and combined like a Transformers. It adopts an extended-range electric drive power system, supports 6×6 all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering, and can carry 4-5 people.

In terms of flight, this car adopts distributed electric propulsion, has manual/automatic two driving modes, and can carry 2 people.
