TapTechNews June 17th, Phison unveiled the mainstream consumer-level PCIe 5.0 SSD controller PS5031-E31T at Computex 2024 in Taipei.

The Phison PS5031-E31T adopts the TSMC 7nm process technology and ARM Cortex-R5 CPU, supports 4-channel 3D TLC/QLC, a maximum capacity of 8TB and a rate of 3600MB/s. (1MB/s is about 0.001GB/s)

Sequential read and write performance: 10800MB/s (about 10.55GB/s)

Random read and write performance: 1500KIOPS

It is introduced that the E31T uses a DRAM-less caching solution and supports HMB, which can reduce power consumption by 15%. TapTechNews provides details as follows.

The Phison E31T made its first appearance at the Taipei International Computer Show last year and is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of this year. MSI has already released the SPATIUM M560 SSD solid-state drive based on this controller.
