The relevant updates include a default-enabled hearing protection mode (providing passive noise reduction in noisy environments), and a clinical-level hearing aid mode. Users will conduct a brief hearing test using AirPods and iPhone. If hearing loss is detected, a personalized sound configuration file will be created, allowing AirPods Pro 2 to dynamically adjust the sound according to the user's needs to help users hear the outside sounds more easily.

Apple said that the personalized hearing configuration file will be automatically applied to scenarios such as music, movies, games, calls, etc., without adjusting any settings. The relevant functions can help people better participate in conversations and stay connected with the people and environment around them.
