SpaceX to Increase Starship Launches in Texas, FAA to Hold Public Meetings

TapTechNews July 12th news, SpaceX plans to increase the number of annual launches of the Starship at the Boca Chica launch site in Cameron County, southern Texas. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is holding a public meeting to seek opinions on SpaceX's proposal.

The FAA announces that after assessment and coordination with other federal agencies and based on public feedback, the following analysis will be conducted on SpaceX's proposal to increase its launch and landing rhythm:

The Starship/Super Heavy rocket orbital can be launched up to 25 times a year at most;

The Starship and Super Heavy rocket can land up to 25 times a year at most.

The FAA will release more information about the draft environmental assessment in late July 2024 for public review and comment. TapTechNews note that the agency will subsequently hold four in-person public meetings and one virtual public meeting.
