Apple Releases iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 Public Betas

TapTechNews September 20th news, Apple yesterday (September 19th) released the first public beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, allowing non-developers to experience many new features including Apple Intelligence ahead of the official release in October.

Public beta channel users who have registered for Apple's Beta Testing Program can download the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates by opening the 'Settings' app, entering the 'Software Update' section and selecting the 'Public Beta' option.

iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are the first batch of updates that include the Apple Intelligence feature.

Although not all AI features have been added, the beta version already includes features such as writing tools, Siri changes, summaries, and smart responses.

Please note that to use the Apple Intelligence feature, users need to experience it on iPhone 15Pro, iPhone 16, or M-series Macs and iPads.

TapTechNews note: All iOS 18.1 users can now use the phone call recording and transcription function, and the recorded calls will be saved in the 'Notes' application, but to summarize the phone calls based on these transcriptions requires the assistance of Apple Intelligence.

This public beta version update also brings the ability to take spatial photos for the iPhone 15Pro and Pro Max.
