Xiaomi officially announced today the relationship between the SU7Ultra prototype and the Xiaomi SU7, as follows:

What is the 「Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype」?

The Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype is a track prototype built based on the pure electric architecture of the Xiaomi SU7, but it is not entirely a customized model for 「lapping」, but has a more important significance. Its core hardware and body structure are all independently designed and developed by Xiaomi Automobile: the super motor V8s it carries is completely independently developed by Xiaomi, and the vehicle thermal management system, electric drive controller, battery controller, etc., are also all independently designed and developed by Xiaomi Automobile.

「Bone sharing」the body structure of the Xiaomi SU7

At the end of 2023, at the Xiaomi Automobile Technology Conference, the Xiaomi SU7 and the brand-new pure electric architecture independently developed by Xiaomi Automobile were released simultaneously. This pure electric architecture has the characteristics of high integration, large bandwidth, and extremely high rigidity, the torsional stiffness of the whole vehicle is 51,000 N·m/degree. The 「Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype」 is directly developed based on this architecture, and the cage body as the core of the architecture is reused.

「Power homology」Xiaomi super motor

The Xiaomi super motor series has already launched two generations of products: the first-generation V6 and V6s super motors have been mass-produced and installed on the Xiaomi SU7; the second-generation V8s motor has also been first installed on the 「Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype」.

Already mass-produced Xiaomi super motors V6 and V6s can reach a high speed of 21,000 rpm, and the single-unit maximum power is 220 kW and 275 kW respectively.

The Xiaomi super motor V8s is the first motor completely independently developed by Xiaomi Automobile. After the redesign of the stator and rotor and the upgrade of materials, the maximum speed of V8s has been increased to the currently highest mass-produced 27,200 rpm, and it has a high power of 425 kW (578 PS). At the same time, the Xiaomi super motor V8s has also achieved the highest efficiency of 98.11% and an ultra-high power density of 10.14 kW/kg, and the single-unit performance can be comparable to that of a large V8 engine in a fuel vehicle.
