Sitwe Releases SC521PC and SC200PC Image Sensors for Laptops and Tablets

TapTechNews reported on May 16 that Sitwe recently launched a series of image sensor products for laptops and tablets, including SC521PC (5MP) and SC200PC (2MP).

Both new products adopt Sitwe's SmartClarity-3 technology. SC521PC and SC200PC are based on a left and right PAD structure design, suitable for the ultra-thin border cameras of mainstream laptops, tablets, and other PC devices.

Highlights of the product information collected by TapTechNews are as follows:

Imaging Experience

The SC521PC and SC200PC image sensors use Sitwe's SmartClarity-3 technology, with back-illuminated architecture design and integration of SFCPixel technology, which the official claims can bring stable, clear, and fearless low-light images to PC device cameras.

The features of the SC521PC and SC200PC image sensors are as follows:

High Sensitivity

The sensitivity of SC521PC and SC200PC is 698mV/lux·s and 741mV/lux·s, respectively. They can operate normally in dim lighting conditions such as indoors on cloudy days or outdoors in the evening.

Low Noise

SC521PC and SC200PC use ultra-low noise peripheral readout circuit technology to control noise. The official statement indicates that the dark field dynamic noise of SC521PC is reduced by about 13% compared to competitors, and the fixed mode noise is reduced by about 70%.

High Dynamic Range

SC200PC supports StaggeredHDR multiple exposure line overlap HDR mode, which can enhance the dynamic range performance of PC device cameras. The official statement claims that in HDR mode, SC200PC can help PC device cameras avoid overexposure, distortion, blurring, etc., in environments with significant light and dark differences, ensuring picture and color reproduction.

Power Consumption Performance

SC521PC and SC200PC use low power consumption design. The official statement indicates that the typical power consumption of SC521PC is about 87mW (30fps), and the typical power consumption of SC200PC is about 80.6mW (60fps).

The parameter information of the Sitwe laptop/tablet image sensor SC521PC/SC200PC is as follows:

TapTechNews Note: SC521PC and SC200PC went into mass production in Q2 2024.
