Geely's Wofei Changkong's AE200 Flying Car Completes First Public Flight

TapTechNews June 23rd, according to the official public account of 'Chengdu Release', the first 'flying car' AE200 electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) under Geely Technology's Wofei Changkong completed its first public flight today, and successfully completed all subjects of a series of flight tests such as full-scale, full-weight, and full-envelope tilt-transition.

Task cruising speed: 154 miles per hour (about 248 kilometers per hour)

Maximum level flight speed: 199 miles per hour (about 320 kilometers per hour)

Maximum flight altitude: 3280 feet (about 1000 meters AGL); 9840 feet (about 3000 meters MSL)

Maximum range: 124 miles (about 200 kilometers)

Maximum number of occupants: 6 people

Wofei Changkong stated that the airworthiness certification work of this AE200 'flying car' is currently progressing steadily and efficiently. In the future, after the civil aviation department issues the airworthiness certificate, it is expected to enter mass production and utilization. It is estimated that around 2026, Chengdu citizens can experience some small-batch fixed commercial air routes.
