Unigroup THP Releases World's First Open Security Chip E450R with Impressive Features

TapTechNews August 25th news, Unigroup THP in the 2024 Unigroup THP Partner Conference released the world's first security chip E450R with an open hardware + software architecture simultaneously.

Thanks to the design advantages of RISC-V being open, tailorable, and scalable, the E450R has achieved a new anti-attack mechanism, the asymmetric cryptographic algorithm engine PKE and the non-volatile memory NVM management, and the performance is as follows:

The speed of the PKE algorithm is increased by 50%, and the performance remains unchanged when the key bit is extended.

The erasing speed of NVM is increased by 15%, and more information can be stored in the same erasing time.

The speed at the hardware bottom layer is significantly improved, and the typical application transaction is increased by 50%.

Based on the open software architecture, the E450R supports international standard languages for application development, provides a structured virtual machine to achieve platform independence; provides an instruction set for efficient use of application resources, achieving a 30% reduction in application code size and a 120% increase in application loading speed.

TapTechNews learned that the E450R has obtained multiple certification qualifications such as UnionPay chip security certification, UnionPay embedded software security certification, UnionPay IC card operating system product certification, China's second-class commercial encryption, CCRCITEAL4+, etc.
