Google Announces New Security Adjustment Measures for Chrome Browser

TapTechNews September 13th news, Google yesterday (September 12th) posted a blog announcing a series of new security adjustment measures so as to strengthen the protection of personal data during the process of web browsing.

Andrew Kamau, the product manager of Google Chrome, said in the blog that the latest version of the Chrome browser has upgraded the security check function, which runs automatically in the background and takes additional proactive measures to ensure the safety of Chrome users.

TapTechNews quoted the content of the press release. One of the measures is based on the blacklist of Google Safe Browsing. For websites that induce users to grant permissions, the notification permissions will be automatically revoked to prevent abuse of notifications.

Another security check measure launched on the desktop version of the Chrome browser is to immediately notify users when it is detected that the installed extensions may pose a security threat.

Kamau said that the security check will guide users to the extension page and display a summary panel to provide quick control options to remove these suspicious extensions.
