Xiaomi Requires App Developers to Complete Android 15 Adaptation by August 31

TapTechNews (June 12). The official account of Xiaomi App Store developers released a notice today, requiring App developers to complete the adaption to Android 15 by August 31st.

The notice stated that at present, the Xiaomi Surge OS developer preview version based on Android 15 Beta1 has been released, and the Xiaomi open platform has also simultaneously launched the remote real machine with the new system. Developers are requested to start the adaption work and complete it by August 31, 2024.

If developers do not handle it by August 31, 2024, Xiaomi will take relevant measures to ensure the user experience according to the impact of the product on users, including but not limited to "search tag reminder", "application downgrade", "model-specific blocking", and "application removal".

To help developers upgrade and adapt to Android 15 Beta1 for Xiaomi phones in the first time, from now on, users of four models including Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14, Redmi K60 Extreme Edition, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 can flash the Xiaomi Surge OS developer preview version based on Android 15 Beta1 online (please ensure that the Bootloader lock has been unlocked before flashing).
