And in his latest report, he pointed out that the M4 MacBook Air will be launched in the spring of 2025, and the Mac Pro and Mac Studio are planned to be launched in the middle of 2025.

TapTechNews summarizes the release times based on Gurman's revelations as follows:

Fall 2024: MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini

Spring 2025: MacBook Air

Middle 2025: Mac Studio, Mac Pro

Since Apple switched to self-developed chips, most Mac products have been redesigned, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac, and currently only the Mac Pro and Mac mini maintain the original design.

In October last year, Apple released the MacBook Pro and iMac with the M3 chip. The new MacBook Pro offers a space black color option and launched a cheaper entry-level model to replace the previous 13-inch MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar). The 24-inch iMac remains basically the same, but the Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard included still use the Lightning interface and have not been upgraded to USB-C.

According to Gurman, the main upgrade points of the new MacBook Pro and iMac launched this fall are the M4 chip, and there will not be much change in other aspects. The M4 chip made its first appearance in the iPad Pro in May, and currently no Mac models are equipped with this new chip.
