Apple VisionPro Reaches New Milestone with Over 2500 Native Apps

TapTechNews August 9th news, Apple today announced that the VisionPro head-mounted display has crossed a new milestone, the visionOS app store now has more than 2500 native spatial applications.

Apple previously reported a milestone of 2000 visionOS applications in June. That means about 500 more native applications have been added in two months.

In contrast, the Meta Quest app store has approximately 3000 applications, most of which are games.

The Chinese version of Apple VisionPro was first sold on June 28, with a starting price of 29999 yuan ($4300). The Zeiss optical insert presbyopia version costs 799 yuan ($115), and the Zeiss optical insert prescription version costs 1199 yuan ($170), and the AppleCare+ service is 3999 yuan ($570).

This head-mounted display is equipped with an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, and the memory is uniformly 16GB. As the official said before, Apple VisionPro is equipped with the new R1 chip, which can handle the input from 12 cameras, 5 sensors and 6 microphones, and the memory bandwidth is 256GB/s.
