In the second quarter of this year (from April to June), the sales of the iPadPro accounted for 43% of the total iPad sales and firmly topped the list. Followed by the standard iPad, accounting for 35%, and the iPadAir and iPadmini accounted for 12% and 10% respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the market share of the iPadPro increased by 5%, the standard iPad remained the same, while the shares of the iPadAir and iPadmini decreased.

It is worth noting that the new generation of iPadPro models was released in May, which is exactly within the second quarter, which undoubtedly had a positive impact on sales. However, the new iPadAir released in the same period does not seem to be popular with consumers.

CIRP expects that the market shares of each iPad model will stabilize within the next one to two quarters. By then, we will be able to more clearly judge whether the hot sales of the iPadPro is just a short-term effect brought by the new product launch.
