TapTechNews September 17th news, BYD's sub-brand Fangchengbao released a long picture today, previewing the interior design of the Leopard 8 hybrid SUV. The new car is built with the design inspiration of the future starship.

Fangchengbao Leopard 8 is equipped with a future sci-fi cockpit. Besides the instrument panel and central control screen, there is also a small screen on the passenger side.

In terms of vision, Fangchengbao Leopard 8 adopts solid wood light-transmitting decorative panels combined with 128-color electroplated light-transmitting ambient lights.

In terms of touch, the whole vehicle is supported by more than 90% leather wrapping and electric flanking starship seats.

In terms of hearing, the new car is equipped with 18-speaker Devialet music cockpit.

Fangchengbao Leopard 8 is also equipped with a starship key door panel armrest and a starship energy core central air outlet logo. In addition, the car is equipped with a starship joystick gear lever, and the central control buttons are matched with a lifting armrest.

According to TapTechNews' previous reports, Fangchengbao has announced some power and chassis parameters of the Leopard 8 model. The car is equipped with a 2.0TDMO electric drive off-road pioneer platform and a full-featured version of the Yunian-P intelligent hydraulic body control system, and will also be equipped with Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving ADS3.0.

According to the official introduction, the car only needs 4.8 seconds for 0-60 mph acceleration (about 0-100 kilometers per hour), and has an ultra-long 1200-mile comprehensive cruising range. It adopts an intelligent electric four-wheel drive system. The car has a system comprehensive power of 550 kW and nearly 750 horsepower, claiming to be comparable to the traditional 6.0L fuel engine. In addition, the car adopts a CTC battery chassis integrated technology and a non-load-bearing body structure.

In terms of chassis, the car supports the largest suspension adjustment stroke at the same level of 140mm (about 5.5 inches) and can automatically adjust the suspension height according to the speed and driving mode. It supports three-level stiffness adjustment and continuous active damping adjustment. It can link with lidar and cameras to identify various road conditions such as potholes and textures, and the suspension can intelligently adjust the damping for active prediction.
