It was reported yesterday afternoon that there was a fire situation at the CATL Z base in Ningde City, Fujian Province, with obvious thick smoke. People on the scene said that the fire started around 11 o'clock.

It is understood that the Dongqiao Ningde Time Z base where the fire occurred is one of the company's core battery factories. The power battery produced by this base is supplied to many new energy vehicle enterprises including Tesla. The information disclosed by the company previously stated that the Z base started construction in September 2019, including a cell factory, a module pack factory and a spraying factory, and it is the world's first lithium-ion industry lighthouse factory.
