2025 Cadillac Escalade Redesigned with Luxurious Features and Advanced Tech
TapTechNews July 17th news, although the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ won't be available until later this year, Cadillac has officially released the mid-cycle facelifted model of the new Escalade recently, introducing the luxurious elements and technological configurations from the Escalade IQ into the fuel version models.
The TapTechNews noticed that the appearance of the 2025 Escalade and Escalade-V has been completely renovated. The most notable change is the front face, adopting a vertically arranged headlight similar to Cadillac Lyriq and Celestiq, and the central Cadillac logo has also become a luminous design, making the overall visual effect more grand and luxurious. In addition, the V-series and the advanced luxury platinum edition models have even been upgraded to a luminous front grille surround, with extremely high night recognition.
On the side of the car body, the new Escalade provides 22-inch wheels and can be optionally equipped with 24-inch wheels for the first time, with three styles available. It is worth mentioning that the new car will also be equipped with an electric door opening and closing function. The driver's side door can be automatically opened through induction and is equipped with an anti-collision sensor. After entering the car, just step on the brake and the door will automatically close. The other three doors can also be opened electrically, providing passengers with a more convenient and comfortable experience.
The changes at the rear of the car are relatively subtle, including the newly designed taillights, the rearranged car logo, and the adjusted rear bumper and exhaust pipes. The new car offers three colors: Aegean Stone, Deep Sea Metal, and Latte Metal.
The interior has been completely refreshed, and the large-size screen has become the absolute protagonist. The new car is equipped with a through-type curved screen, which consists of a 35-inch driver display and a 20-inch passenger display, with a total area of 55 inches (about 140 square centimeters), and there is also a control screen below, once again highlighting the automotive industry's fanatical pursuit of large screens. You should know that the Escalade launched in 2020 has already been equipped with the then-largest 38-inch (about 97 centimeters) OLED curved screen in the industry, and now, General Motors has directly increased the screen size to 55 inches (about 140 square centimeters), and the future all-electric Escalade IQ will also adopt the same configuration. The new car is also equipped with a new steering wheel, an electronic shift lever, and a 128-color ambient light, and the interior materials and design are also more advanced.
The new 25-inch passenger display supports various video streaming services, and passengers can even watch shows during the vehicle's driving. In order to avoid distracting the driver, when looking at the passenger display from the main driver, it is black, and passengers can use Bluetooth headphones or the in-car audio system to listen to the audio.
The infotainment system is based on the Google Android system and has built-in applications such as maps and voice assistants. However, unlike the all-electric version, the fuel version of the Escalade will continue to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone interconnection systems (previously, General Motors announced that it will cancel the support for these two major phone interconnection systems in future electric models, although it has faced strong opposition, the company still insists on this decision), and both support wireless connections. The car infotainment system also supports multiple voice assistants. In addition to the built-in Google Assistant, car owners can also download Amazon Alexa.
Besides the standard interior, consumers can also choose to install a luxury second-row seat kit, including a central console equipped with a rear control center, dual wireless phone chargers, and a retractable dining table. This kit also provides dual 12.6-inch displays and a massage seat with headrest speakers.
In terms of interior color schemes, two new choices of Renaissance Red and Jet Black/Transparent Gray have been added, while the Escalade-V model has exclusive seats and a large amount of carbon fiber decoration.
Regarding the configuration, the new car is standardly equipped with the SuperCruise super cruise system and is equipped with a 19-speaker audio system, and an AKG top audio system with 40 speakers can be optionally ins talled.
In terms of power, the 2025 Escalade cancels the 3.0-liter turbo diesel six-cylinder engine, and the entire series is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine. The normal model has a maximum output power of 313 kilowatts/426 horsepower and a peak torque of 624 Newton-meters, while the high-performance Escalade-V model has a powerful power parameter of 508 kilowatts/691 horsepower and 885 Newton-meters. All models are matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of the chassis, the new car continues to use independent front and rear suspensions, air suspension, and electromagnetic shock absorbers. Among them, electromagnetic shock absorbers are standard except for the entry-level luxury version.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will start production later this year, and the price will be announced closer to the launch time.
