TapTechNews May 15th news, Google announced at today's I/O 2024 developer conference that it will launch a personalized option for Gemini called Gems, which allows users to customize the Gemini assistant role.
The Gems feature allows users to iterate on chatbots, helping you accomplish certain tasks while retaining specified characteristics. Gems feels similar to OpenAI's GPTStore, allowing you to create a customized ChatGPT chatbot.
This feature is also somewhat like creating your own robot in Character.AI, which allows you to converse with virtual celebrities, popular figures, and even impersonate psychologists.
Google stated that users can adjust Gemini's positioning through the Gems feature, such as becoming your workout partner, sous chef, coding buddy, creative writing guide, etc.
