Nvidia RTX 5090/5080 Specifications and Release Details

TapTechNews September 27th news, Taiwan media BenchLife.info stated about the previously provided Nvidia RTX 5090/5080 specifications by sources, that it received the same information as the leak, and various AIC manufacturers have already started the development work for the two graphics cards.

It is reported that if there are no surprises, these two graphics cards will be simultaneously released at the CES 2025 show in early January next year, and Nvidia may also release the RTX 50 mobile graphics card products at this event.

The Taiwan media said that the 600W of GeForce RTX 5090 and the 400W of RTX 5080 are both the TGP total power consumption of the whole card, and both products can only use a single 12V-2×6 connector, and even the RTX 5090 with 600W TGP is still mainly air-cooled.

RTX 5090 will adopt a 14-layer PCB design and support advanced features such as PCIe 5.0, DisplayPort 2.1a HBR20 (TapTechNews note: suspected to refer to UHBR20).

In addition, the 512-bit width 32GB GDDR7 video memory of the RTX 5090 graphics card has an equivalent rate of 28 Gbps, corresponding to a video memory bandwidth of 1792 GB/s; while although the video memory width and capacity of RTX 5080 are halved, the equivalent video memory rate rises to 32 Gbps, and the video memory bandwidth reaches 1024 GB/s.
