ASUS ROG Ally X Handheld Console to Debut with Upgrades at Taipei Computer Show

TapTechNews May 13 news, ASUS's 2024 model ROG Ally handheld console will debut at the Taipei International Computer Show on June 3. The new version will be renamed as ROG Ally X, claiming to offer more features for users with higher demands.

Leaker @MysteryLupin shared some configuration details of the ROG Ally X handheld console, stating that it features a 7-inch FHD 1080P 120Hz screen, AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, and 1TB SSD.

The leaker also mentioned that the ROG Ally X handheld console is only available in black, priced at $799 (approximately 5785 RMB, TapTechNews note), which is $100 more expensive than the launch price of ROG Ally.

ASUS previously stated that the ROG Ally X is a significant upgrade to the original ROG Ally rather than a completely new product. If the leaks are accurate, the ROG Ally X is positioned as an enhanced version of the current ROG Ally, with the same processor and screen, but with double the storage capacity.

ASUS also revealed during an official live stream that the ROG Ally X will have over double the battery life, increased memory (currently 16GB), and the M.2 2230 slot will be upgraded to M.2 2280 for consumers to easily upgrade their storage space.
