China's Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry Update in 2024
TapTechNews October 6th news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today released the operation situation of the electronic information manufacturing industry from January to August 2024. From January to August, the added value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 13.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 7.3 percentage points and 4.2 percentage points higher than that of the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period respectively. In August, the added value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 11.3% year-on-year.
TapTechNews learned from the report that among the main products from January to August, the output of mobile phones was 1.015 billion units, an increase of 8.8% year-on-year, among which the output of smart phones was 751 million units, an increase of 10.4% year-on-year; the output of microcomputer equipment was 217 million units, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year; the output of integrated circuits was 284.5 billion pieces, an increase of 26.6% year-on-year.
From January to August, the cumulative export delivery value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 1.2% year-on-year, which was 0.6 percentage point higher than that from January to July. In August, the export delivery value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 3.4% year-on-year.
According to customs statistics, from January to August, China exported 94.34 million notebook computers, an increase of 2.0% year-on-year; exported 498 million mobile phones, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year; exported 193.3 billion integrated circuits, an increase of 10.5% year-on-year.
From January to August, the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry achieved a business income of 9.94 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year, which was 0.2 percentage point lower than that from January to July; the operating cost was 8.68 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year; the total profit was 392.8 billion yuan, an increase of 22.1% year-on-year; the operating income profit margin was 4.0%, which was 0.1 percentage point higher than that from January to July. In August, the business income of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry was 1.32 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year.
From January to August, the investment in the fixed assets of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 14.2% year-on-year< /strong>, which was 0.3 percentage point lower than that from January to July, and was 2.1 percentage points and 4.6 percentage points higher than the investment growth rates of the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period respectively.
