Global Tablet Shipments in Q2 2024 Apple Leads, Others Follow

TapTechNews August 13th news, the market research organization TechinSights released a blog post today, indicating that the global tablet shipments reached 35.1 million units in the second quarter of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 14%.

When broken down by brand, Apple continues to lead the global tablet growth. With the iPad Pro equipped with the M4 chip and the iPad Air equipped with the M2 chip, its market share increased to 38%, and the shipments increased by 17% year-on-year.

Apple's new device artificial intelligence function Apple Intelligence, which was first launched at the 2024 WWDC, further drove this suppressed demand.

Samsung and Lenovo also achieved remarkable results. Samsung entered the high-growth field, and Lenovo continued to maintain a strong performance.

Xiaomi's shipments increased by 138%, especially in the Chinese and international markets, demonstrating its growing influence.
