Microsoft Upgrades Windows 11 Photos App with Integrated AI Tools

TapTechNews July 18th news, Microsoft Corporation yesterday (July 17th) released a press release, announcing the upgrade of the Windows 11 system Photos (Microsoft Photos) application, further integrating Microsoft Designer to allow users to use more AI tools to edit photos.

Integrated AI editor features

Users can now click the Edit with Designer button to directly call Designer to process and edit pictures in the Photos application, enabling users to perfect and re-imagine photos without having to switch to other applications.

Intelligent image recognition

The artificial intelligence will intelligently detect objects in the image, allowing users to perform a series of personalized operations:

Erase objects in photos

Create beautiful portrait photos by blurring the background

Add creative highlights with color pop

Enhance the visual impact of the image with automatic cropping

Trial new text and marking functions to turn your creative ideas into reality

Use editing features such as filters and adjustments that you are familiar with and expect.

TapTechNews note: This function is currently limited to users whose Windows display language is set to English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Portuguese (Brazil), and it has been launched in most countries/regions for now.

Before users use Designer, they need to log in to a Microsoft account and upgrade the Windows 11 Photos application to 2024.11070.12001.0 or a later version.
