CableMatters Launches Thunderbolt 5 Cables

TapTechNews June 28, CableMatters launched Thunderbolt 5 cables, including three length specifications of 1 foot, 1.6 feet and 3.3 feet (TapTechNews note: approximately 30.48 / 48.77 / 100.58 centimeters respectively).

CableMatters stated that this batch of wires manufactured by Taiwanese enterprise LintesTechnology supports two-way equal 80 Gbps transmission and 120/40 Gbps unequal transmission, supports DP2.1 protocol, and can carry 240W power supply at the same time.

In addition, this new type of wire is also backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, USB4 and Thunderbolt 3, ensuring compatibility with various high-speed external connection standards.

CableMatters' Thunderbolt 5 cable supports multiple 6K or 8K resolution screens, and can also be connected to up to 3 4K 144Hz monitors, and can also support 4K e-sports monitor with ultra-high 540Hz refresh rate.
