Zhaoxin's New Move in Processor Technology

TapTechNews June 20. According to media reports such as Phoronix, domestic x86 processor company Zhaoxin has recently submitted a support patch for the 'Century Avenue' kernel microarchitecture to the GCC15 compiler.

As TapTechNews reported earlier, in October 2023, Zhaoxin submitted a support patch for the 'Yongfeng' kernel microarchitecture to the GCC compiler. The 'Yongfeng' microarchitecture is used in the Kaisheng KH-40000 server processor.

In December 2023, Zhaoxin released the first processor product based on the 'Century Avenue' microarchitecture: the Kaixian KX-7000 series.

The Kaixian KX-7000 adopts an 8-core 8-thread design, is equipped with 32MB of high-speed cache, has a maximum operating frequency of 3.7GHz, supports the AVX2 vector extension, and Zhaoxin claims that its computing performance is twice that of the previous generation product.

The Kaixian KX-7000 supports DDR4/5 memory, and also supports the mainstream PCIe 4.0 protocol and USB4 interface.

In addition, the Kaixian KX-7000 is also equipped with the C-1190 integrated graphics card, which supports the DX12 API, and the graphics performance has increased to 4 times that of the previous generation, and it also supports H.265 hardware codec, which can output two 4K video streams simultaneously.
