TapTechNews May 17th news, Google announced at the 2024 I/O developer conference that it will release WearOS 5 later this year, and share a new preview version with developers to access new features and APIs.
Developer Mishaal Rahman uncovered the WearOS developer preview and found that Google has added a grid view for the app launcher.
TapTechNews learned from the report that users have two ways to switch, one is to open Settings->General->App view settings, and the other is to scroll down to the bottom of the app list to switch.
In the WearOS 5 settings under Apps and notifications, users will see a Privacy dashboard, similar to the feature introduced in Android 12 for phones, displaying a list of sensitive permissions and the frequency of access to these permissions in the past 24 hours, making it easier for users to view and manage app permissions.
