The report said that AIPC continues to attract attention, but at this stage it is mainly focused on components and the commercial market, and the story in the consumer market still has more to come.
Jitesh Ubrani, the research manager of IDC's global mobile device tracking, said:
Outside the commercial update cycle, promotional activities of brands and channels for consumers also help to promote the development of this market segment (AIPC).
The market has also come out of the price bottom caused by the oversupply of inventory last year, which means that the average selling price has increased due to richer configurations and reduced discounts.
