MechRev Introduces Electrophoresis Process for Infinite 14X Laptop in Blizzard Colorway

TechNews on May 15th - MechRev introduced the electrophoresis process in their recent post to showcase the Infinite 14X laptop in Blizzard colorway.

When MechRev launched the Infinite 14X laptop at the end of February, they revealed a Blizzard color option using electrophoresis. However, the specific release date has not been announced yet.

According to MechRev:

The basic principle of electrophoresis is to evenly distribute coating particles on the surface of the workpiece through the action of an electric field, forming a uniform and dense coating film.

Compared with traditional spray painting, electrophoretic coating has the advantages of more uniform coating film, stronger corrosion resistance, smoother appearance, and more environmentally friendly features.

In addition, to maintain overall consistency in appearance, the touchpad of the Infinite 14X Blizzard has also undergone careful color calibration to match the shell.

Therefore, expectations for the pricing of the Infinite 14X Blizzard using electrophoresis may need to be tempered.

For reference, the launch prices of the Infinite 14X laptop in standard colors are as follows:

Ultra7155H+32GB+1TB: ¥5999 (approx. $945)

R78845HS+24GB+1TB: ¥3999 (approx. $630)

The MechRev Infinite 14X features a 2.8K 120Hz 400-nit screen, weighs 1.45kg, has an 80Wh battery capacity, and provides interfaces such as HDMI, RJ45, Thunderbolt 4, and USB.
