TapTechNews June 12th news, Square Enix announced that Seiken Densetsu (Visions of Mana) will be globally released on August 29th and released a launch day trailer.
This game is jointly developed by Square Enix and the Cherry Blossom Studio under NetEase. It will be available on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms and supports Chinese. However, the Steam version is expected to be released on August 30th, 2024.
This game is a brand-new work in the series focusing on the themes of 'Sacred Sword' and 'Mana'. The protagonist, Val, and his childhood sweetheart, Youna, who was selected as the Divine Child, set off for the towering 'Mana Tree' in the distance.
The semi-open field in the game features many mechanisms and cute yet terrifying monsters. And players can enjoy fast-paced three-dimensional battles with the power of spirits. The video also details five playable characters and game system gameplay such as job changes.
Seiken Densetsu is a new work in the classic fantasy role-playing game Seiken Densetsu series returning to the origin after a hiatus of nearly 16 years. Inheriting the worldview and warm and soft pictures in the series that can feel the close connection between nature and spirits, in the semi-open field that can move seamlessly between multiple locations, it not only enjoys fast-paced combat, but also greatly expands the possibility of playing when exploring the vast world with three-dimensional actions.
The game story describes that the protagonist Val lives in the fire village of Tiyana. He invited a girl to go to the ceremony to summon Phyarly. This girl is exactly his childhood sweetheart. In order to let Mana continue to circulate in every corner of the world, Phyarly visits every place every four years to select a new Divine Child, and the Divine Child undertakes the mission to the Mana Tree. As the sun sets, a bright light flashes across the sky and Phyarly appears in front of the girl. As a Guardian Soul, Val sets off on a journey to the Mana Tree to protect his childhood sweetheart who has been selected as the Divine Child under the blessing of the villagers.
In terms of price, currently this game is 348 yuan on Steam, 448 yuan for the digital deluxe version, and 479 Hong Kong dollars in the PS Hong Kong section (TapTechNews note: currently about 445 yuan).
