ESWIN Presents New RISC-V Based SoC EIC7700X with Impressive Features

TapTechNews July 1st, the domestic chip company ESWIN displayed its new RISC-V architecture SoC product EIC7700X, which was released earlier this year at the 2024 RISC-V Europe Summit.

As a member of the ESWIN EIC77 family of SoC, EIC7700X is based on 12-nanometer process and integrates the processor designs of three companies:

EIC7700X is equipped with 4 Performance P550 CPU cores from SiFive, with a frequency range of 1.4 to 1.8 GHz. This core has a 13-level, 3-issue, out-of-order pipeline and supports the RISC-V RV64GBC instruction set architecture.

EIC7700X adopts the IMGA series GPU from Imagination. This GPU has 128 wide ALU units and a dedicated AI processing channel, capable of providing 0.25 TFLOPS, 1 TOPS, and 8 Gpixels of performance.

EIC7700X is equipped with ESWIN's self-developed NPU unit, which can provide 19.95 TOPS INT8, 9.975 TOPS INT16 and 9.975 FTOPS FP16 computing power.

In DNN (Deep Neural Network) reasoning, it has high computational utilization, and can run up to 590 fps in the resnet50 network and 2600 fps in the mobileNETv2 network.

In addition, this SoC also supports 8K 25fps H.265 (HEVC) video encoding and 8K 50fps H.265 video decoding, is equipped with a 64-bit memory channel, and supports up to 32 GB of LPDDR4(X)/LPDDR5 6400 MT/s memory.

Besides EIC7700X, the ESWIN EIC77 series also includes EIC7700 with a lower CPU frequency and NPU computing power, and a dual-Die version EIC7702(X) created through 122 GB cache coherence interconnect technology.

At present, the devices that have been confirmed to carry the RISC-V chips of the EIC77 series include the SiFive HiFive Premier P550 development board, the SiliconSpeed LM5A computing module, etc.
