vivo Launches X100s Series Full-Screen Smartphone Unboxing

On May 13, at the 'Image New Blueprint & X Series New Product Launch Event' hosted by vivo, the long-awaited X100s series full-screen phone, as well as the highly anticipated 'Image Overlord' X100Ultra phone, were officially released.

In this article, TapTechNews will bring you the unboxing of the X100s.

The vivo X100s adopts a brand-new right-angled frame design, with dimensions of 163.12mm*75.78mm*7.80mm and a weight of 203g, with a thickness of only 7.80mm. It is available in four colors: Qingyun, Titanium, White Moonlight, and Deep Space Grey.

The 'Titanium' version featured in this TapTechNews article perfectly recreates the hottest titanium metal color, with a low-key and elegant metal grey back cover.

However, it is important to note that the 'Titanium' version does not use titanium metal material, but in terms of appearance, especially the texture of the metal frame, it is very close to the original color of titanium metal.

In terms of design details, the daily ring decoration ring uses brushed technology to reflect different gradients of metal gloss, like a silver moon.

On the front, the vivo X100s features a pure full-screen design without a screen stand.

This 6.78-inch 2800x1260 resolution OLED screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 3000nit, using 8T LTPO technology. Additionally, through vivo's self-developed 'Full High-Frequency Dimming' solution, the LTPO screen flicker index has been optimized to 0.03.

In terms of imaging, the vivo X100s is equipped with a 50 million pixel ultra-sensitive biomimetic main camera IMX920, a 64 million pixel Zeiss super telephoto OV64B, and a 50 million pixel super wide-angle JN1, featuring Vario-Tessar optical lenses, delicate optical designs, and Zeiss T* coatings.

On the algorithm side, the vivo X100s is the first to be equipped with the same core algorithm as the 'Image Overlord' imaging, with functions such as telephoto stage, humanistic street photography camera, AI visual effects, and liberating ultimate computing power through the Dimensity 9300+ and Blueprint Imaging Chip V2 bi-core.

In addition, vivo X100s has achieved the feat of fitting a Zeiss super telephoto lens into a slim 7.80mm body, with the official statement that it is currently the only one in the industry that can accommodate a super long focal length within a body under 8mm.

In terms of core configuration, the global debut of the vivo X100s series is equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ flagship platform, with joint development and tuning of performance through the Blue Crystal chip technology stack, where the CPU's maximum frequency can reach up to 3.4GHz, the generative AI capability has greatly improved, and the peak performance of the all-core CPU has increased by 40% while reducing power consumption by 33%. The vivo X100s also achieved a high score of 230W+ in the AnTuTu benchmark test, making it a true flagship full-screen performance device inside and out.

The vivo X100s's 7.80mm ultra-thin body houses a 5100mAh equivalent ultra-large capacity blue ocean battery, with Wi-Fi+5G standby lasting up to 10 days. It supports 100W dual-core flash charging, charging to 100% in as fast as 29 minutes.

In terms of the system, the vivo X100s is compatible with the OriginOS 4 operating system, the Blue Heart AI recording machine integrates with QQ, WeChat, DingTalk, Feishu, and other chat and conference software; the vivo office suite can realize five-screen collaboration between mobile phones, tablets, web pages, Windows, and Mac; universal documents can view 57 professional file formats such as Pages, Numbers, Keynote, CAD, PS, and Xmind.
