With this dock, users don't need to connect the Joy-Con controller to the Switch console for charging. It can be charged standing on the dock or laid flat after removing the dock. Nintendo said that this charging dock will be very helpful for users who own multiple Joy-Con controllers.
This charging dock can also charge the wireless Famicom controller, which is suitable for games such as the Nintendo World Championships Famicom World Convention.
