According to the introduction, GAC Group's independently developed flying car GOVE has so far carried out more than 300 flight verifications and plans to launch a demonstration operation plan for flying cars in 2027, creating an inter-city three-dimensional travel model in 2-3 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

TapTechNews found that on June 26, 2023, GAC Group officially released the flying car - GOVE at the annual GAC Technology Day and achieved the world's first flight in the science and technology museum square.

The director of the GAC Research Institute, Wu Jian, said, The GOVE flying car adopts a separated body configuration, is equipped with the GAC ADiGO-Pilot self-driving system and a dual-backup multi-rotor flight system, which can achieve vertical takeoff and landing, and is equipped with a dual-backup multi-rotor flight system to ensure flight safety. In addition, GAC's flying cars will jointly build GAC's future three-dimensional travel solution together with Ruchuxing and Robotaxi.

GAC introduced that the innovation of GOVE lies in that in the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft and the separated collective configuration, a body configuration that can maximize the separation of the functions of the car and aircraft modules is adopted.

When driving on the road, GOVE is a four-wheel car. When encountering congestion, the cockpit of GOVE can be separated from the chassis, and the cockpit can take off from the ground, and the chassis can enter the shared parking lot in the self-driving mode.

When landing, GOVE will conduct an air-ground docking before landing and restore to the appearance of a car. Among them, to enable the cockpit to accurately aim and precisely dock when landing, GOVE also applies aerospace-level high-precision docking technology.
