Midea Group Officially Listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange with Strong Performance and Investor Interest

TapTechNews September 17th news, Midea Group officially listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today (September 17th), and the stock code is 00300.HK.

For this IPO, Midea Group's offering price is HK$54.8 per share, and a total of 566 million H-share shares are issued, raising over HK$31 billion, of which 28.2928 million shares are publicly offered in Hong Kong (about 5%), and 538 million shares are internationally placed (about 95%).

Today, Midea Group opened in the Hong Kong stock market with an increase of up to 8%, and its total market capitalization exceeded the HK$440 billion mark at one stroke.

Midea Group has already been listed on the A-share market as early as 2013. The listing on the Hong Kong stock market has attracted many investment institutions, and the total subscription amount reaches 1.256 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 8.911 billion yuan RMB), among which the cornerstone investors include COSCO Shipping, UBSAMSingapore, China SOE Restructuring Fund Phase II Co., Ltd. It has been more than a year since Midea Group announced its intention to go public in Hong Kong. Last August, Midea Group first announced that it would go public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for the second time. In the same month of October last year, Midea Group submitted a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In April this year, Midea Group submitted an updated issuance application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for the second time and published the updated application materials on the website of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In July this year, Midea Group announced that it received the relevant filing notice, and the company plans to issue no more than 651 million overseas-listed common shares and list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
