Bentley to Launch New Continental GTSpeed on June 25
TapTechNews June 19th news, Bentley Motors announced that the brand-new fourth-generation Continental GTSpeed (Continental GT Ultimate Edition) will be officially launched on June 25th.
The all-new Continental GTSpeed is equipped with a high-performance plug-in hybrid system composed of a new V8 engine, etc. It is the most powerful road car in Bentley's history, with a maximum output power of 782 horsepower and a peak torque of up to 1000 Nm, while also taking into account environmental performance. Thanks to its plug-in hybrid system, the pure electric driving range of this car can reach 50 miles (about 80 kilometers), and the carbon dioxide emissions under the WLTP standard are less than 50 grams per kilometer.
The brand-new chassis technology makes the new Continental GTSpeed the most sensitive Bentley model to handle so far, and also makes it the first daily supercar in the sub-segment. The new car highlights include an active all-wheel drive system, a torque vector distribution system, a four-wheel steering system, an electronic limited-slip differential, a 48V electrically active anti-roll bar, and a new type of double-valve shock absorber, etc. In addition, the brand-new exterior design and cutting-edge technology configuration also make the Continental GTSpeed the latest masterpiece to interpret modern Bentley.
To prove its performance strength, Bentley will also announce at the launch that the all-new Continental GTSpeed has created an unofficial undersea speed record. The new car has reached a top speed of 335 kilometers per hour in the Ryfylke tunnel, the longest and deepest road tunnel in Norway. The film showing this tunnel test drive will also be released simultaneously at the launch.

The second-generation Continental GT was released at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and started accepting orders in October of that year and deliveries began early the following year.
