Google Starts Testing Floating Action Button in Chrome's New Tab Page

TapTechNews July 4th news, the tech media AndroidAuthority released a blog post today, indicating that Google has begun testing a floating action button (FAB) in the new tab page of the Chrome browser.

The floating action button is a flagship element of Google's Material Design language and has already appeared in important applications such as Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Keep, and Chrome is also about to introduce this button.

TapTechNews quoted the official Google description that the floating action button is a high-brightness button that allows users to perform a primary action in an application, usually located in the bottom right corner of the screen, promoting a single, focused operation.

In the GoogleKeep application, the floating action button is used to create new notes, and in the Google Maps application, clicking the floating action button can return to the user's current location.

In the latest Beta version of Chrome (127.0.6533.23) browser, the new tab page has brought a brand new floating action button, a more intuitive and ergonomic choice.
