BYD to Hold Ceremony for Thai Factory Completion and 800th New Energy Vehicle Offline

TapTechNews July 2nd, BYD officially announced today that it will hold the completion ceremony of BYD's Thai factory and the offline ceremony of the 800th new energy vehicle at 11:30 am on July 4th.

BYD said that the company's new energy vehicle footprints can be found in more than 80 countries and regions around the world, and BYD has entered a new journey of globalization.

According to TapTechNews' inquiry, BYD's 700th new energy vehicle was offline on March 25th, and now, after more than three months, another 100,000 vehicles have been offline, with an average monthly offline of about 300,000 vehicles.

In 2023, the market share of Chinese brands in the Thai pure electric vehicle market is as high as 70-80%. The top four of the annual sales volume of Thai electric vehicles are all Chinese brands, and Chinese brands occupy eight seats in the top ten. It is expected that more Chinese electric vehicle brands will enter the Thai market in 2024. Statistics from Thai Auto Life show that the local electric vehicle sales ranking in 2023 is BYD, Nezha, MG, Tesla, and Euler in sequence.
