Tesla previously described the Foundation Series as a limited-edition Cybertruck, available only in the first year, and there have been continuous rumors before about when Tesla will stop producing the Foundation Series. In May this year, there was news that the Foundation Series was about to be discontinued, but Siddhant Awasthi, the Tesla Cybertruck vehicle project manager, denied this, stating that the Foundation Series is still in active production. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also said at this year's general meeting: We will soon end the production of the Foundation Series and launch a non-Foundation Series model in the next quarter.

However, after Musk's statement, Tesla quietly modified the wording of the Cybertruck order invitation, stating that due to the high demand for electric vehicles, it is expected that only the Foundation Series model will be delivered before the end of 2024.

Tesla has started delivering the Foundation Series Cybertruck since the launch event in November last year and then gradually expanded the delivery range.
