Phanteks Launches NV5MKII Mid-Tower Case with New Features
TapTechNews July 9th news, Phanteks has launched the NV5MKII mid-tower case. Just as the name suggests, NV5MKII is a modified version of the original NV5 case, with added support for reverse-mounted motherboards.
The NV5MKII case adopts an overall angled pillarless full-view design, equipped with a tilted power supply compartment, with dimensions of 239×447×528 (mm), and a volume of approximately 60 liters.
It is compatible with ITX motherboards, standard and reverse-mounted M-ATX motherboards, standard and reverse-mounted ATX motherboards, and some E-ATX motherboards, and has 7 PCIe expansion slots and a built-in D-RGB controller.
The Phanteks NV5MKII case supports a 180mm high CPU cooler and a 230mm long power supply. In the standard mode, it supports a 440mm long and 170mm high graphics card, and when using a vertical mounting bracket (needs to be purchased separately), it supports three-slot thick graphics cards.
In terms of storage, the wire-hiding door panel behind the motherboard of this case can install 3 3.5-inch hard drives or 4 2.5-inch hard drives, supporting combinations such as 1×3.5+2×2.5, 2×3.5+1×2.5, etc.
The NV5MKII case only supports 120mm fans, with 3 fans supported on the top and on the right side of the motherboard, and 1 fan supported on the bottom front and the tail, among which the top and the right side are compatible with 360mm radiator, and the tail is compatible with 120mm radiator.
The front I/O panel of this case is located at the top right front. In addition to the power button, it also provides 2 USB3.0 Type-A interfaces, 1 USB3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface, two D-RGB light effect control buttons, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Phanteks NV5MKII case has been launched in the North American market. The black version is priced at 109.99 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 802 RMB), and the white version is 119.99 US dollars (currently about 875 RMB).
This case will land in the Asian market in mid-July. For reference, the current domestic prices of the black and white versions of the original NV5 case are 649/669 RMB.
