Upcoming Release of Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Leading Edition-Powered Phones

TapTechNews June 15th, according to the blogger @Fatwei's爆料 today, new phones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Leading Edition processor are about to be released, changing the previous 'for Galaxy' to 'for everybody'.

TapTechNews noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series phones released in January this year were equipped with the Qualcomm-customized Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy, including 1 Cortex-X4 super-large core with a main frequency of 3.39 GHz, 5 Cortex-A720 large cores with peak main frequencies of 2.9 GHz and 3.1 GHz, and 2 Cortex-A520 small cores with a main frequency of 2.2 GHz.

In contrast, the maximum CPU frequency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 regular version is 3.3 GHz, slightly lower than the Galaxy custom version, and the GPU core frequency is increased from 903 MHz to 1.0 GHz, and the other configurations are not much different.

The Red Magic 8S Pro series, which was first launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Leading Edition last July, is expected to be released this year not too long after.
