TapTechNews noticed that earlier last week, Tesla's Autopilot software director Ashok Elluswamy stated on the social media platform X that the first driving assistance function of Cybertruck would be launched at the weekend. The Tesla executive said that since parking a Cybertruck is not easy, it will start from the parking assistance function. He also pointed out that it is expected to launch FSD for Cybertruck in September.

Tesla indeed released the VisionParkAssist function for Cybertruck last weekend and has received wide acclaim, and many people said that this function should have been equipped for this model a long time ago.

The VisionParkAssist function can display a high-precision 3D model of the world around the vehicle, including the distances and shapes of nearby objects, obstacles, vehicles, and road markings. Users can use ParkAssist with or without sound feedback. Tesla also noted that the ParkAssist function is only for guiding purposes and cannot replace the driver. The driver needs to remain vigilant and avoid hitting obstacles.

It should be noted that VisionParkAssist is not VisionAutopark. This function can only provide a good view for the driver so that they can better observe the surrounding environment when parking the Cybertruck into the parking space. This function does not support automatic parking.
