The registration page on the Neuralink official website says: 'Joining the UK patient registration program can help us assess whether you meet the preliminary qualifications for future UK Neuralink clinical trials, and keep you informed about relevant trial information, as well as the Neuralink company and its technological progress.'

Eligible UK participants must be over 18 years old and suffer from diseases such as quadriplegia, vision loss, hearing loss, aphasia or severe limb amputation. This is similar to the requirements in the US. The first patient in the US to implant the Neuralink device, Nolan Arbaugh, who is 30 years old this year, signed up to participate in the trial because he is paralyzed from the neck down.

It should be noted that joining the UK patient registration program does not guarantee being able to participate in future clinical trials. At present, Neuralink has only one product called 'Telepathy' that allows users to control technological devices through the power of thought. Elon Musk also previously previewed another product called 'Blindsight' on social media.
