WeRide Files for IPO in the US, Seeks Nasdaq Listing

TapTechNews August 9th news, Bloomberg reported that WeRide has submitted an IPO filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), seeking to be listed on the Nasdaq with the code WRD.

It is said that the IPO of WeRide is led by Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, and China International Capital Corporation, planning to raise about 100 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 718 million yuan), and raise about 200-300 million US dollars in the placement.

According to public information, WeRide was established in 2017 and has carried out autonomous driving research and development, testing, and operations in 30 cities in 7 countries around the world.

At present, WeRide has successively completed 10 rounds of financing, and the investors include He Xiaopeng, GAC Group, NVIDIA, Bosch, IDG Capital, Qiming Venture Capital, Cornerstone Capital, etc. The cumulative public financing amount exceeds 1.09 billion US dollars, and the last round of D+ round financing was completed in 2022, with a valuation of 5.1 billion US dollars (currently about 36.603 billion yuan).
