Russian Soyuz MS-25 Returns to Earth with 3 Astronauts

TapTechNews September 23rd news, the Russian state space corporation announced today that the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft carrying 3 astronauts returned to Earth from the International Space Station and landed near the city of Zhezkazgan, Kazakhstan at 14:59 Moscow time (19:59 Beijing time) on the 23rd. The 3 astronauts are Russian astronaut Oleg Kononenko and Nikolay Chub, as well as American astronaut Tracy Dyson.

According to TapTechNews, on March 23rd of this year, the Russian Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft was launched on the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and flew to the International Space Station. At Moscow time on March 25th, the Russian Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft successfully docked with the International Space Station. There are 3 crew members in total, from Russia, Belarus and the United States. Marina Vasilevskaya from Belarus is the first female astronaut in the country.

It is worth mentioning that Kononenko refreshed the record of the total length of stay in space during his 5th space trip (the previous record was 878 days) and became the first person to accumulate more than 1000 days of stay in space. By the time of this return to Earth, his total stay time will reach 1110 days. In addition, Kononenko and Chub also broke the record for the longest single stay at the International Space Station, and the length of their stay at the International Space Station reached 37 days. Kononenko also celebrated his 60th birthday in space.
