CATL Allegedly Imposes 896 Work Schedule But Denied By Company

TapTechNews on June 18, it was recently reported online that CATL called on its employees to work hard for 100 days and implement a 896 work schedule.

TapTechNews reported yesterday that an online document showed that CATL issued a call to its employees for 100 Days of Struggle. The document showed that in order to better complete the tasks entrusted by the organization and accelerate the achievement of various tasks, the company called for the JG7+ to struggle for 100 days starting from today. In short, it is calling on eligible employees to implement a 896 workday (that is, start work at 8 a.m., get off work at 9 p.m., and work 6 days a week) starting from June 12 for a total of 100 days of struggle. In addition, there is a supplementary notice stating that foreign employees are not mandatory and follow their wishes.

An internal CATL employee told the Cai Lian Press reporter that this was indeed the case. The department held a meeting last Friday and verbally informed about this matter, and said: Previously, there was also overtime, but it was not mandatory until 9 p.m. Another insider disclosed that this call is for employees above a certain level, not all employees.

According to the 21st Century Business Herald, in response, a relevant person from CATL replied, This is a misinterpretation and slander, and the company has not issued such a regulation.
