Paradox Tectonic Cancels 'Life by You' Game After Multiple Delays

TapTechNews on June 18th reported that after multiple delays, Paradox Tectonic (P社) said there were 'deficiencies in certain key areas' and officially announced today the cancellation of the 'Life by You' game.

This game is an open-world life simulation game under P社. If it went on the market, it would compete with EA's 'The Sims'. The game was originally scheduled to be launched on Steam and Epic platforms, priced at $40 (IT Home note: currently about 289 RMB).

Mattias Lilja, the deputy chief executive of Paradox Interactive, posted on the forum today:

Regrettably, we have decided to cancel the release of the long-awaited life simulation game 'Life by You'. This is a very difficult decision, and Paradox clearly failed to meet the expectations of both ourselves and the community.

The 'Life by You' game was originally scheduled to be released in September 2023, and then was postponed by 6 months, and the release time was postponed to 2024. At the beginning of 2024, P社 postponed it again to June 5th for release.
