Google Adjusts 'Hide IP Address' Option Description in Chrome

TapTechNews May 23rd, Google introduced the 'Hide IP Address' option in the Chrome browser version in the Canary channel in February this year under the path of 'Settings' > 'Privacy and Security' > 'Tracking Protection' to improve users' online security.

The source @Leopeva64 tweeted today that Google has adjusted the description of the 'Hide IP Address' option. TapTechNews translates the relevant content as follows : 'If Chrome suspects that a website may be tracking you, some of your traffic may be sent through a privacy server.'

While the previous description was: 'After the user logs in to the Chrome browser and enables this option, it can limit the tracking of your browsing content by suspicious trackers. When the page loads, some content requests will be sent through a privacy server.'

This means that after enabling the 'Hide IP Address' option, the browser will only send user data through the 'privacy server' when it suspects that a website is tracking your activities.
