VMware's ESXi 8.0 Update 3 Reduces Supported Languages,No Longer Includes Chinese

TapTechNews July 4th news, VMware, a virtualization software under Broadcom, released ESXi 8.0 Update 3 on June 25th, clearly stating in the official update log that it reduces the number of localized languages, meaning that subsequent versions will no longer support languages such as Simplified Chinese.

TapTechNews citing the official update log, ESXi 8.0 Update 3 deprecates the locale settings, and from the next major version onwards, the number of supported localized languages will be reduced.

Besides the default-supported English, the three supported localized languages are:

Japanese

Spanish

French

Will no longer support the following languages:

Users using the deprecated languages will no longer receive updates or support in these languages.

Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Simplified Chinese

It is also worth noting that all user interfaces, help documents and customer support will only be provided in the English version or the versions of the above three supported languages.

In this update, it is not clearly stated which version of the next major version begins, it may start from the subsequent 8.1 or 8.0 Update 4.
